Jim Mas has won the 20th edition of southwestern Connecticut's Boston Buildup Series. His
total of 6537 points was over 300 points better than the 6191 points of Torpedo Ruospo.
The 3rd place finish of Randy Brophy (6141), who ran only 3 races, illustrates the difficulty
of winning this series without competing in every race. Brophy had faster times than Mas in
the 10K, 20K and 25K, but not fast enough to overcome the disadvantage of missing the 15K.
Mary Dolan-Zengo (5471) easily took the women's title for the series, with Susan Gold (4182)
and Sue Baker (4014) capturing 2nd and 3rd.
