The Southwest Café 5k was voted the “must-do local race” by Competitor magazine (August 2012 Issue).
All participants (21 and older only!) are rewarded with a free post-race margarita from the host- Southwest Café after their run (or walk).
Enjoy yours frozen, on the rocks, salt, or no salt after this great 5k thru the quiet neighborhoods in Ridgefield, Conn.

The Southwest Café Margarita 5K will be donating all net proceeds to the Sunrise Cottage in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
The Sunrise Cottage is a residence for members of the community with disabilities.
It is part of ARI (Always Reaching for Independence), and devoted to enriching the lives of people with disabilities and their families by enabling them to achieve their fullest potential at home, at work, and in the community.

PACKET PICK UP
Early pick-up will be held on Friday July 29 between 5-7 PM next to the Southwest Cafe.
In person registration ($30 for 19 & over, $20 for 18 & under) will also be available.
All participants picking-up their packets or registering will recieve 10% off dinner at the Southwest Cafe ON THAT EVENING.
Race day: Pre-Reg packet pick-up and race registration will start at 4:30 PM at the Southwest Cafe.
$25.00 pre-registration (until May 31). $18 for ages 18 & under
$28.00 pre-registration (June 1 – July 28) $20 for ages 18 & under
$30.00 registration (on July 29 & Race Day) $20 for ages 18 & under

Police are on duty for this flat and fast USATF-certified course. The course is an out and back on South St.
Runners will pass behind Union Savings Bank, turning right onto Farmingville Rd., left on Limekiln Rd., left on Lee Rd., and then right onto Farmingville Rd., right on Noran's Ridge, around the loop, back out to Farmingville, and left onto the South St. by-pass to the finish. Sorry but our permits and insurance DO NOT ALLOW- Pets, in-line skates, and bikes on the course.
We ask that participants with baby joggers be respectful of other competitors and yield the right of way.
IT IS ILLEGAL to give your bib/registration to anyone else. It will void your waiver, insurance claims, and disqualify the participant from the event.
