FACILITIES: Extremely limited. Buildings should be open at all races. Come dressed to run, bring warm clothing for afterwards. Water station(s) in all races. Mile & 5km splits marked (every km in 10K). Digital clock at finish. ChonoTrack B-Tag timing.
POSTPONEMENTS: Postponed races will be held the following Sunday at the originally scheduled site and time. Postponement notice will be posted on this site and the Buildup Facebook page and Twitter feed by 7 a.m. race day (or earlier when possible), and via email to all entrants and those on the Club Connecticut race information maillist.
AWARDS: Long sleeve technical running shirts to the top Overall, Open (20-39), Vet (40-49), Master (50-59) and Grandmaster (60 & over) male and female in each race who have not already won. The overall Series winners in these categories will receive gift certificates from ASICS for a running outfit of shoes, shirt and shorts (value $200). Series scoring will be based on the Purdy computer point tables, and weighted (best race multiplied by a factor of four, second best by three, third best by two, worst unweighted). NO HEADHONES: USATF rules (Click here and read rule #144.3b) prohibit the use of headphones and similar devices on the racecourse. This rule will be enforced during the Boston Buildup. Runners should not bring these devices with them to the race. Those carrying/wearing these devices will be given the option to surrender their music device to a designated race official prior to the start. Surrendered devices may be claimed after the race. Participants that choose not to surrender their device will be disqualified from the race and their finishing times will not appear in the official race results, nor will they be eligible for any awards.
ENTRY FEES: $47 pre, $50 post ($45 online) for the four race Series. Special GIZMO technical running socks to the first 100 Series entrants, subject to size availability. $20 ($18 online) per first individual race (subsequent races $17/$15).
Long sleeve technical shirts available for $15. These must be ordered by the first race, and may be picked up by the second race. Entry forms are available by clicking here and printing out an application.
CHECK-IN: Once again, we will be holding pre-race check-in at Runner's Roost in Darien the week preceding each event. Please take advantage of this to avoid the crowds on race morning. Complete details here.
